Using a blender, you can make smoothies with frozen fruit chunks and fruit juices. Your refrigerator/freezer should be stocked with ice cream, sherbet, and yogurt.

If you need pain relief (acetaminophen or ibuprofen) and do not suffer from any health conditions that affect the usage of these medications, your orthodontist is likely to recommend over-the-counter painkillers.
